A recent graduate from Humber College’s Bachelor of Music program, Adam is a young up and coming guitarist from Toronto. Well versed in drums as well, he has nearly a decade of teaching and performing experience ranging from the realms of rock, jazz, and classical music. Adam is very passionate about honing his craft as well as educating those who are interested in developing their own love and knowledge of music.
At 12 years old Adam received his first guitar while his brother got his first drum set. While especially taking a liking to the guitar, both instruments have been a huge part of his life ever since.
While his musical world revolved primarily around rock and blues music for the greater part of his early development, when it came time for post secondary education Adam’s musical palette began to broaden, specifically taking an interest in the music revolving around jazz.
Adam recently graduated with Honours from Humber College’s Bachelor of Music program, and he made the most of his time there. He was part of the school’s flagship ensemble, ‘A Band’, and also got to study intimately with some of Canada’s finest talents such as Larnell Lewis and Lorne Lofsky, as well as visiting artists such as Pat Metheny, and George Massenburg (producer of Earth, Wind, and Fire). His interest in the musical study has also led him to complete some of the highest level exams offered by the RCM, receiving first-class honours with distinction.
Aside from performing, Adam also finds profound fulfillment in teaching, with now nearly a decade of experience. Adam has taken on private students, as well as taught as some of the best music schools in Toronto for nearly 10 years. To all ages and skill levels, and in many genres, he has taught a wide variety of instruments from the guitar, drums, upright and electric bass, to the piano and ukulele as well.
Adam’s adeptness as a teacher was finely exemplified when after being recommended by a professor for a teaching position at a performing and creative arts camp in Connecticut USA, he was asked to return the following year to be the head of the entire music department; the largest department at a camp of over 20 different art shops.
Adam is confident that he can help you reach your musical goals, and he would love to have the opportunity to do so.
