Born in Oakville, Ontario, Eric has been playing music since age 5 and has been teaching for over a decade. His insatiable desire to share his love for all aspects of music with his students makes him an engaging and deeply responsive teacher who always puts his students first.
After graduating with a degree in Music Production and Engineering from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, Eric moved to Brooklyn, NY to continue his career. In addition working in recording studios, live venues, and performing, he toured across the USA with his band Autocatalytica and others, all the while working as a freelance teacher.
As an engineer, he has had the opportunity to work with members of bands such as Yeasayer, TV on the Radio, The Dirty Projectors, At The Drive-In, Luke Temple, and O.A.R. As a live engineer he has worked gigs for people such as Mike Tyson, Neil Gaiman, and Ta-Nehisi Coates.
Upon returning home to Canada, Eric continued teaching guitar, bass, piano, drums and vocals to students ages 5 to 55 from all across the GTA. He caters each lesson to his student’s unique individual needs, always making sure that their enjoyment of music comes first.
As a lifelong enthusiast of both composition and recording technology, Eric has composed, recorded, and released 4 full-length LP’s of original material. His latest LP “Vicissitudes” for his metal band Autocatalytica has been called “Fearlessly forward-thinking” & “Fabulously unique”. Currently, he is continuing to relentlessly compose and produce music across all genres in Toronto, Ontario.
