Jacqueline Godbout has been working as a professional singer, actor, producer, and arts educator for the last 10 years. She has performed in musicals, films, and plays. As a voice teacher, Jacqueline works from a place of joy and creative exploration. She helps her students find their authentic, healthy voice in musical theatre, classical, and pop styles.  Students leave her lessons feeling challenged and inspired. 

Jacqueline grew up studying classical voice, completing her RCM level 8 in Voice before attending Acadia University studying Classical Voice under Christianne Rushton for 2 years. Jacqueline then went on to study Musical Theatre at Randolph College for the Performing Arts studying Musical Theatre Voice under Louisa Burgess Corbett and graduating in 2014. After graduating, she went on to work as a performer and was eager to share her knowledge and passion for the arts with others. Always learning, Jacqueline recently took a Vocal Pedagogy course with Penn State University/ One Body One Voice to deepen her knowledge of the voice and to elevate herself as a performer and educator.

As a group musical theatre teacher, Jacqueline has prepared her students for the Take The Stage Music Festival where they won 1st Place for their performance of When I Grow Up from Matilda. She loves sharing her expertise in musical theatre especially in a group setting where she guides students to work together as a team to create a piece of theatre. Jacqueline has successfully coached students in preparing for auditions and performances. She loves guiding her students to discover their full potential and watching them shine on stage! Musical Theatre Classes:

Learn singing, acting, and theatre movement with professional performer Jacqueline Godbout! Each term, students will learn and rehearse musical theatre songs centering around a theme and perform them in an end of term presentation! Students will learn songs as a group, as well as in trios and duets. At the end of the term, students will have a few polished theatre songs to perform in front of their family! Group musical theatre classes are a wonderful way to build confidence, make friends, and work together as a team to create a final performance!
