Mattia Mihajlovic (Piano)

Mattia is a qualified musician and teacher who keeps his lessons exciting and engaging by relating the music covered in classes back to his student’s lives and interests. In this way, he promotes exploration and creativity in his lessons on top of mastering musical technique.

Mattia is finishing up his bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Western University. During his time at Western, Mattia also performed regularly, taking part in multiple solo and small-group recitals, galas, and co-founding a chamber orchestra. He has been praised for his expressive
playing and his strong technique, at least two of the skills he teaches in his lessons.

For the last few years, Mattia has enjoyed operating a private studio in London, Ontario. He recently moved to the GTA and began teaching at the Elite Music Academy, where he prepares students for opportunities to perform in and around the GTA. Mattia’s ability to ease students into understanding tough concepts has been complimented by parents, while his students have described him as “cool and easy to work with.”
