Pianist, Vocalist, Music Director
Performer and teacher Colin Frotten is a recent graduate from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, earning his Bachelor of Music.
New to the Toronto scene, Colin has enthusiastically launched himself into the city’s vibrant music community. He performs regularly throughout the city, and is equally at home teaching both voice and piano. Recent performances include a solo piano and voice recital in New Brunswick, work with Toronto Operetta Theatre, and concerts with two Toronto a cappella groups: the Cantabile Chambers Singers and That Choir. In addition to performing, Colin has acted as Music Director, Vocal Director and Rehearsal Pianist for various productions in New Brunswick, including The Fantastiks, My Fair Lady, Spamalot!, Beauty and the Beast, and The Sound of Music. As a young artist with several years of diverse performance experience (classical, pop/rock & musical theatre), Colin provides the necessary tools to learn proper technique and performance skills, and works with each student on their individual goals. Whether he is working with a future music professional, or a new beginner, Colin strives to inspire well-rounded musicians who will have a life-long appreciation for music!
