The goal of many music students is to eventually perform in front of an audience. Unlike other music schools, Elite Music Academy sets its students on the right track to perform in professional venues. Elite does not put on the slapdash auditorium recitals that other schools throw together once a year. Students come to us for music lessons in Toronto because they dream of one day playing for crowds. We are proud to say that we help our students realize these dreams.
We organize showcases for our students several times a year. We know that they are excited to show off what they have learned and do not want to wait a whole year to play publicly. Our showcases are organized by age, skill level and musical genre, so no student will feel out of place on stage. Our largest performance opportunity is a three day concert series at the Alumnae Theatre in early winter and spring. In the past we have held showcases at the Old Nick on Danforth Ave and the Orbit Room in downtown Toronto. Our voice, piano and guitar students can perform at our local Starbucks up to twice a month if they would like to try out some new material in a casual setting. Students who have formed groups in our Rock Band program often play at legitimate rock clubs. Some of our students even play outside Carrot Common for passing tourists and shoppers. These are just a few of the performance opportunities that are available to our students.
We are always establishing relationships with new venues and coming up with unique ways to help our students achieve their goals. A student who comes to us for music lessons in Toronto will be receiving an all-encompassing musical education.Children and teens who want to attend intensive training and performance workshops will enjoy spending a summer at Toronto Music Camp. The campers perform every Friday and are able to record the music that they have composed and practiced to perfection.
Many of our former students have gone on to form successful indie bands using the skills they honed at Elite Music Academy. We believe our approach to music lessons sets us apart from music schools in Toronto that do not provide students with everything they need to share their talents with others. We do not let the seriousness of training and practice get in the way of giving our students the cool, fun experiences that drew them to music in the first place.
