“My teaching philosophy is to develop musicality and appreciation for the violin regardless of age and level. I strongly believe that keeping my students motivated during the lesson will engage them to learn progressively in an enjoyable atmosphere; during class and during daily practice. The material that I use depends on the student’s goals and age and they may range from fiddle music to advanced preparation to RCM examinations. Therefore, I consider important that every student is exposed to different music styles to enrich their musical understanding.
In the past, I have coached my students to participate in provincial Music Festivals for Orchestra and young performers such as Kiwanis. Many of them have successfully achieved RCM examinations and start post-secondary education at University level.”
