Hi! I’m Callum Clarke — a guitar, drum, and bass teacher based in Toronto. I’ve been passionate about music since childhood, and today I help students of all ages build skill, confidence, and creativity through personalized music lessons. Whether a student’s goal is to play their favourite songs, develop strong technique, join a band, or prepare for auditions, I’m committed to supporting them every step of the way.
I began taking guitar lessons at Elite Music Academy when I was young, and those lessons shaped my entire musical journey. Over the years I studied guitar, bass, and drums, eventually falling in love with performing and teaching. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Music at Humber College, where I study contemporary performance, music theory, ensemble playing, and pedagogy. Being trained in multiple instruments allows me to teach students how music works as a whole, not just what to play.
My goal is simple: help every student enjoy music while building skills that last a lifetime. I believe learning an instrument should feel encouraging, structured, and fun. I focus on:
strong fundamentals
proper technique
rhythm development
musical expression
confidence and stage presence
I adapt every lesson to the student’s interests — from rock, pop, indie, jazz, and metal to alternative, folk, and blues. If a student wants to learn their favourite song, we learn it. If they want to improvise, compose, or join a band, I support that too.
I work with kids, teens, and adults ranging from absolute beginners to advanced students preparing for auditions or performances. Many of my students take:
guitar lessons
drum lessons
bass lessons
multi-instrument lessons (rotating between instruments)
I am also part of Elite Music Academy’s Band Program, where students rehearse together, learn teamwork, and perform live concerts.
Each student receives a customized plan that may include:
guitar technique (chords, picking, strumming, fingerstyle, riffs, soloing)
drum technique (coordination, reading, grooves, fills, timing)
bass technique (groove, left-hand strength, rhythm, walking bass, improvisation)
reading tabs or sheet music
music theory and ear training
performance preparation
improvisation and creativity
building confidence through achievable goals
I make sure students leave every lesson with something they can practice independently.
As someone who grew up studying at Elite Music Academy, I understand what young musicians need to stay motivated. I balance fun lessons with strong foundations so students progress steadily while always enjoying the process.
Parents often tell me their child becomes more confident, focused, and expressive after only a few lessons. Teen and adult students appreciate my relaxed approach combined with clear instruction and meaningful feedback.
Whether you’re interested in guitar lessons, drum lessons, or bass lessons in Toronto, I’d love to support your musical growth. No experience is necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to try. I look forward to helping you develop your sound, explore music you love, and become a confident musician.
Group music programs are an essential companion to private lessons for every developing musician. While private lessons build strong technical foundations, group classes help students apply those skills in real musical settings. Playing with others strengthens rhythm, listening, teamwork, and musical confidence — skills that cannot be fully developed alone. Group programs also motivate students socially, encourage accountability, and prepare them for future band, ensemble, or performance opportunities. Families who combine private and group lessons see faster progress, greater enthusiasm, and long-term success in music.
