Multi Instrumentalist: Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Ukulele, Musical Theatre
Kylee Martinez is a multifaceted teacher who believes in meeting her students wherever they are in their musical journey. From structured lessons in classical piano to folk guitar, musical theatre, voice, and creating original music through songwriting, Kylee believes that her teaching style should complement the learning style of her students. She is empathetic, patient and kind, and she enjoys teaching students of all ages and personalities.
Kylee began teaching piano 9 years ago and immediately fell in love with it. She has worked with students of different ages and levels. Kylee’s teaching style is one of encouragement and is individualized to what each student wants to achieve. Kylee believes that anybody who wants to learn music, can!
Kylee’s love for music began when she started piano at 4 years old. Over the years, she went on to complete her grade 9 RCM in classical piano and grade 10 theory. Kylee began her own voice lessons as a teenager in both classical and musical theatre style, which led her to first place in the Alberta Musical Festival in the musical theatre uptempo category.
Kylee graduated from the triple threat musical theatre program at Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Since graduation, as a Toronto-based actor and performer, Kylee has been seen on the stage with TYT theatre and even performed in Toronto’s Fringe Festival! She loves to write and perform her own music as well as covers on both the piano and the guitar.
Kylee would love to hear from you! She is available to teach students in piano, musical theatre, guitar, ukulele, songwriting and voice.
