Rachel Anne Hunt (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, and voice teacher based in Toronto. She holds a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as well as a Diploma from Randolph College for the Performing Arts’ Triple Threat College Program. Rachel is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly studies the latest research in vocal science to better support her students. She is currently completing her Level 1 Voice Teacher Certification with the Institute of Vocal Advancement.
As both an active performer and lifelong student of singing, Rachel brings a unique perspective to her voice lessons. She believes that singing is about much more than producing sound—it is about communication, confidence, self-expression, and personal growth. Her teaching combines evidence-based vocal techniques with a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and developing their voices.
With her extensive training in musical theatre performance, ongoing study of vocal science, and active performing career, Rachel is one of the strongest choices for students seeking a voice teacher in Toronto.
Rachel believes that every voice is unique and that successful voice lessons should be tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests. Whether a student is preparing for auditions, developing performance skills, improving vocal technique, or simply singing for personal enjoyment, lessons are designed to provide practical tools and clear direction.
Drawing from both her performance background and ongoing study of vocal science, Rachel helps students develop healthy vocal habits, confidence, musical expression, and greater control of their voice. Lessons may include vocal exercises, repertoire development, performance preparation, ear training, and strategies for building consistency and confidence both inside and outside the lesson studio.
Rachel is a great fit for children, teens, and adults who are looking for a supportive, encouraging, and personalized voice teacher in Toronto. Whether you are completely new to singing, returning to music after many years, preparing for auditions, or working toward specific vocal goals, Rachel adapts each lesson to meet your individual needs and learning style.
Students interested in pop, rock, jazz, musical theatre, country, and classical singing may especially enjoy Rachel’s approach. Her combination of performance experience, advanced training, and ongoing study of vocal science allows her to help students build healthy vocal habits, confidence, musical expression, and strong technical foundations.
Rachel is also an excellent choice for students who want to develop performance skills, prepare for auditions, explore new repertoire, or simply gain more confidence using their voice. Her goal is to create a welcoming learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited about their musical growth.
Rachel’s voice lessons are designed to help students develop healthy vocal technique, confidence, musical expression, and performance skills. While some students begin lessons for personal enjoyment, others may be preparing for auditions, musical theatre productions, recordings, performances, or public speaking opportunities.
As both a performer and voice educator, Rachel understands the value of applying skills beyond one-on-one lessons. Adult students who are looking for additional performance opportunities may enjoy participating in our Elite Voices Adult Group Program, where singers work together on ensemble skills, musicianship, and live performances in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Adult students who prefer performing in a band setting may also be interested in our Adult Jam Sessions (18–35) and Adult Jam Sessions (35+) programs, where vocalists rehearse and perform alongside guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboard players, and other musicians while developing confidence, stage presence, and collaborative performance skills.
Teen students who are interested in singing with a live band may enjoy exploring our Band & Group Programs, where vocalists have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with other young musicians while building musicianship, teamwork, and real-world performance experience.
Whether your goal is to prepare for an audition, perform with a vocal ensemble, sing in a band, or simply continue growing as a performer, these opportunities can be a valuable extension of the skills and confidence developed while working with a voice teacher in Toronto at Elite Music Academy.
