“Learn piano and have fun. Joy is the best way to become a great pianist.”
Holding a bachelor degree in music performance, Rafael started to play the piano when he was 10 years old. At 18 years old, he won the first prize at the state contest “Isaías Noriega de la Vega”, in Puebla, Mexico. In 2010 Rafael was part of the National Symphonic Band of Mexico.
Rafael has played with world renowned musicians, as Juan Manuel Gonzalez Hernandez (Venezuelan violinist and first violin at the BBC National Orchestra), Efraín Oscher (flutist and one of the most famous latin american composers, Chiu Yu Chen (taiwanese pianist), Pablo Bercellini (argentinian cellist, at Orquesta de Buenos Aires), etc.
Rafael has been teaching since 2008. Although he specializes in classical music, he encourages his students to play rock, pop, jazz, or any genre that makes them enjoy the music. Structure in the class is important, but Rafael knows that each student learns in a different way. That’s why each class is different. He has worked successfully with students with special needs.
