Anastasia is one of our voice teachers at Elite Music Academy, teaching out of our 895 Lawrence Ave East location in North York, near the Shops at Don Mills area.
This location is easily accessible for students and families across North York and surrounding communities, with TTC bus stops located directly outside the plaza and convenient parking available both in front of the building and across the street in the multi-level parking garage.
Our Lawrence Ave East location is situated on the second floor and is accessible by elevator, making it easy for students and parents to access the studio comfortably throughout the year during both summer and winter months.
Anastasia Minster is a dedicated voice teacher in Toronto with over 15 years of professional experience in music performance and education. Holding a Master’s degree in Education, she combines artistic experience with a supportive and student-focused teaching approach.
As both an educator and active recording artist, Anastasia brings real-world musical experience into her lessons. She has released three full-length studio albums — including one recorded with a full orchestra — and her music has been featured on CBC Radio, JazzFM, Spotify, Apple Music, and other professional platforms.
Her experience as both a performer and teacher allows students to learn from someone actively involved in the professional music industry while developing healthy vocal technique, musical expression, creativity, and performance skills.
Anastasia specializes in modern vocal styles including jazz, pop, and rock. Her teaching approach focuses on healthy and sustainable vocal development, helping students sing with greater confidence, control, freedom, and musical expression.
Lessons may explore:
Whether students are looking to strengthen their vocal technique, expand their vocal range, improve performance skills, or simply become more confident singers, Anastasia’s lessons are designed to support both technical growth and artistic development in a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Through her supportive and encouraging teaching style, we feel that Anastasia would be a strong fit for a wide range of students, including children, teens, and adults studying at beginner to advanced levels. Students who may feel nervous or unsure about singing often benefit from her patient and positive approach, while more experienced vocalists can continue developing technique, performance skills, musical expression, and artistic confidence.
Students interested in modern vocal styles such as jazz, pop, and rock may especially appreciate Anastasia’s focus on healthy vocal development, creativity, and authentic self-expression. Her background as both an educator and active recording artist also allows students to gain insight into performance preparation, musical interpretation, stage presence, and the creative side of vocal performance.
Whether a student is exploring singing for the first time, preparing for auditions or performances, returning to music after time away, or simply looking to grow in confidence and enjoy singing more fully, Anastasia strives to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable developing their voice at their own pace.
Prior to committing to further lessons, we encourage students and parents to begin with an introductory lesson so they can meet the teacher, discuss goals, and assess the student’s current level. During the introductory lesson, Anastasia can also recommend lesson frequency, lesson length, and areas of focus moving forward.
To continue after your introductory lesson — or if you have any questions — please contact our scheduling team at [email protected]. Our team will be happy to assist you with ongoing lesson scheduling and availability.
Many students begin private voice lessons simply wanting to build confidence, improve technique, or explore singing for the first time. As students become more comfortable and begin developing stronger musical skills, some may eventually enjoy combining private lessons with group lesson programs, performance opportunities, or ensemble-style experiences. While private lessons are excellent for individual growth, group programs can help balance that by giving students opportunities to rehearse, perform, and work alongside other musicians in a supportive environment.
For many students, participating in a group program can also add additional direction and purpose to their private lessons, as students begin learning and applying musical concepts, rehearsal techniques, and performance skills on material that they may later use in real live performances and/or studio recording projects. This often helps students stay motivated, build confidence, develop friendships, and feel more connected to the larger musical community while continuing to grow through their private lessons.
For adult students, we often recommend exploring Elite Voices, our vocal ensemble program. Students between the ages of 9–16 may also enjoy participating in one of our Band Programs during the school year or our Summer Music Camps, both of which provide additional performance, rehearsal, and collaborative music opportunities outside of private lessons.
New Band Program schedules for the upcoming school year are typically posted beginning in July. Additional programs and groups may continue to be added throughout the summer, so if you do not currently see a program that fits your age group, musical interests, or preferred location, we encourage you to contact our lesson coordination team for information about upcoming opportunities and future program availability.
